Our 7 steps towards eco-sustainable tourism

We believe that the silence, tranquillity and peace experienced on holiday are truly priceless.
At Hotel Le Grazie we reduce noise pollution to a minimum.
Nature is the only “voice” we would like you to hear.
Here are the principles that inspire our green philosophy and what we do to promote sustainable and responsible tourism.
Energy and consumables
We are committed to using energy from renewable sources and, as much as possible, recycled and recyclable materials because we are aware that green tourism is achieved through small gestures that reduce our impact on the environment.
Waste management
At the hotel, we separate waste very carefully. Everything is sorted separately.
Reduced use of plastic
We are preparing to phase out the use of plastic water bottles. This will allow us to help drastically reduce the use of this environmentally harmful material. We are also planning to be able to provide our guests with water bottles to use, upon request, during their excursions.
Reducing water consumption
Water is a precious resource. We who live in Umbria know this well. We always remind our guests to use it wisely.
Eco-friendly courtesy line
We selected an eco-friendly courtesy line based on natural products (without parabens, microplastics or chemicals) and with packaging made from recycled materials.
Zero km food
Healthy food is important. We take care of our guests by offering natural and wholesome menus. We offer a selection of local products supplied by farms and small producers of the local community. Our cook will delight you with handmade cakes and pastries.
LED lighting
We are replacing light bulbs in Hotel Le Grazie with LEDs, a less polluting and more efficient source of lighting.

Eco-sustainable tourism should be everyone’s priority and responsibility and it is crucial to change habits and ways of thinking.

Our projects
Smart Shared Farm
By planting olive trees we will redevelop the Sulcis area in south-western Sardinia, an area that has long been abandoned and has a high unemployment rate.

Urban forestry, Busto Arsizio
The Paulownia tree makes a significant contribution to improving air quality and tackling global warming. By planting one in Busto Arsizio (Varese), the municipality and citizens will enjoy the benefits of these plants.

Eastern Arc Forests
By planting your tree here, you are choosing to preserve the rainforest between Kenya and Tanzania that captures more than 100 tonnes of CO2 every day.

Madagascar mangroves
We help preserve mangrove forests in Madagascar, a unique ecosystem that would otherwise be lost, thus supporting local communities.

Kukula
You will plant a fruit tree on the island of Nosy Mitsio, counteracting local deforestation and ensuring the inhabitants have a balanced diet.
